Screen Printing

Unruled Calendar 5in × 8in

I went into screen printing with no real idea of what it even was, which made the whole experience feel both exciting and overwhelming. At first, I liked it, but it was definitely challenging, the process isn’t something you pick up right away. There are so many steps, and each one matters, so it took time (and a lot of patience) to really understand how everything works together. That learning curve could be frustrating, especially when things didn’t turn out the way I expected. But over time, as it started to click, I began to appreciate the process more. And when you finally pull a clean print and see the finished result, it makes all the trial and error worth it. It’s one of those things where the payoff feels even better because you know how much went into getting there.

Cylinder Process

I signed up for a ceramics class, not really knowing what to expect, but it ended up being something I completely fell in love with. There was something about working with clay, getting my hands messy, shaping something from nothing that felt both calming and exciting at the same time. It forced me to slow down, be patient, and embrace imperfections, which is so different from the fast-paced, digital work I’m used to. Every piece felt personal, and seeing it transform from a lump of clay into something functional or expressive was incredibly rewarding. It quickly became more than just a class, it turned into something I genuinely looked forward to and a new way to explore creativity.
